We know that we have a lot of good things going for us. We have friends, we have our health, we have sex, we have money, we have our home, we have a great job, we have a beautiful wife, we have a great life.
There is a tremendous upside potential for us, but we need to be careful about how we use it. The upside potential is almost always a function of the person in question. It is not necessarily a function of the actual benefits they have.
The upside potential of being healthy and having a great job, having sex, having money, etc. is almost always a function of the person actually having those things. A lot of people who are healthy have a terrific job, have sex, and have money. But we don’t need to be in a healthy, fun, happy, and wealthy way to have a huge upside potential.
But the upside potential is only as good as the person using it. For example, if I can have access to all the benefits of a healthy diet, it will make me healthy. But if I eat a bunch of junk food and that makes me unhealthy, then it isnt a big deal. The point is that the person using the upside potentials will have to be making the decision to use it.
I think the biggest problem with people abusing the upside potential is that they are usually not getting the choice to use it, because they don’t want to be unhealthy. Sure, you’d be healthier if you ate junk food all the time, but at the same time junk food is bad for you. You’d be better off eating real food, but you probably don’t want to.
If you can’t make it with the upside potential, then you’re out of luck. You can’t make it with the other potentials, even if you want to.
Sure, you can say, “I feel great! I feel like I could eat that cake right now.” or “I could eat that fruit right now,” but the truth is that you arent going to eat that cake right now. The upside potential is just a way to get more food into your body. It’s a way to eat more than you want or need.
I’m a huge fan of getting back to the real world by getting out there. My work habits are the best guide I can give you.I’ve always felt this way. I’m sure you will find that a lot of people are so happy to have you. But when you’re a person with a lot of people that don’t want to be seen as a friend or as a foe, then you have no idea what the real world is, let alone what the real world is.
I think everyone, especially the non-food-lovers we interviewed for this book, has a bit of a skewed perspective on how much they should eat. We’re really just trying to help them to get in the right mindset for the right food. For some, the best food is pizza or fast food, for others it’s a little bit of chicken or steak. And to those people, our advice is simple: Eat less, save a little bit for later.
That’s just a taste of one of the many great things you can do in life with less food. You can avoid feeling hungry by eating less, you can save a little bit of money by eating less, and you can save up even more money by eating less. If you really want to, you can become a vegan. You can choose a healthier diet, or choose vegetarian.
